Recall Description
Issue:
On certain vehicles, a software problem with the front camera could cause the forward collision avoidance (FCA) system to brake suddenly.
Note: For the 2026 model year Tucson, this recall affects gas, hybrid (HEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models.
Safety Risk:
A vehicle that brakes suddenly when there’s no risk of a collision could increase the risk of a crash.
Precautions:
No precautionary measures are to be taken at this moment; however, if you experience any issues with your vehicle, please contact your dealer immediately.
Corrective Actions:
Hyundai Canada will notify owners in writing advising them to bring their vehicles to a Hyundai dealer where technicians will update the front camera software. The remedy procedure will be performed at no charge to the owner.
